Visitor Attractions

  • A La Ronde - NTA La Ronde

    This unique sixteen-sided house, described by Lucinda Lambton as having ‘a magical strangeness that one might dream of only as a child’, was built for two spinster cousins, Jane and Mary Parminter, on their return from a grand tour of Europe in the late 18th century. A La Ronde is now cared for by the National Trust.

  • The Maer Interactive Nature TrailThe Maer Interactive Nature Trail

    This five acre grassland nature reserve is home to some weird and wonderful wildlife. Climb and slide on huge, wooden beasts in the Play Zone then it’s off to discover critters such as the musical Grasshopper, Wolf Spider and luminous Puss Moth Caterpillar.
