Is it London or Dartmouth! It's the new look Harbour Bar.
Gone is the old Public Bar, replaced by a new light air conditioned bar, still
with a log fire! Stylish and fresh but with a great atmosphere.
The
Royal Castle is very much at the heart of Dartmouth, not just physically but as
a meeting place. Meet for coffee or informal dining in the Galleon bar,
where we serve a wide range of bar meals. Open log fires burn on cooler evening.
During the winter months we serve delicious spit-roasts on our 300 year-old range.
Our Nu restaurant overlooking the river is the ideal location for a romantic
dinner or a business lunch. We are famous for our Castle Breakfast. Our head chef
chooses local beef, pork and lamb wherever possible raised in the South Hams.
Seafood is often purchased directly from the fishing boats landing at the quayside.
An important harbour since Roman times, Dartmouth lies in the
South Hams of Devon - a rich agricultural region enjoying the mildest climate
in mainland Britain. Here the River Dart becomes deep and wide, creating a busy
harbour bustling with craft of every description, from yachts and dinghies to
pleasure boats and fishing vessels. Against this colourful backdrop you'll discover
the Royal Castle Hotel.
