Situated in the grounds of a larger country house surrounded by farmland,
the Coach House is a light, well planned and sensitive conversion of the
original Edwardian coach house. From its elevated position above the village
of Lympstone (approx. 1 mile), it enjoys good views of the Exe estuary.
The location is good for walking and for sailing on the Exe estuary - parking
for a boat and trailer is available.
Visitors
to the Coach House can also enjoy the use of the owners 30ft long, heated,
indoor swimming pool (times by arrangement) and outside, the adjacent,
raised, paved garden area with barbecue.
The Coach House is a mile from
a wild expanse of common heathland offering walking, horseriding and off
road cycling. It is within easy driving distance of East Devon's Heritage
coastline with beaches at Exmouth, Budleigh Salterton and Sidmouth or,
on the other side of the estuary, Dawlish, Teignmouth and Coryton Cove.
There are cruises and fishing/birdwatching trips on the River Exe, an
R.S.P.B. Sanctuary at Topsham, botanical gardens at Bicton Park and an
award winning children's adventure park at Crealy Park. 8 miles away is
the city of Exeter with its magnificent cathedral, pedestrianised shopping
centre and river walks. The edge of the Dartmoor National Park is half
an hour's drive away.
