Heathfield Farm (OS SX476 791) is in a lovely peaceful valley near Brentor, north of Tavistock (3.5 miles approx). The setting has been chosen with care to provide comfortable privacy without isolation. It is very restful here, away from the hurly-burly of modern life. The caravan stands on its own with adjacent gravelled parking area, small flower and shrub border and large lawn with young apple and pear trees. Our bungalow stands separately in its own grounds to the right where we are on hand if problems arise, yet still maintaining your privacy. |
|
Beyond the garden fence is a small paddock which slopes down to the Wallabrook. This stream is fenced but shallow and is hidden by verdant undergrowth and trees, habitat of many different animals and birds, and a woodland walk along the stream takes you past a badger set and overgrown mine workings. |

We welcome children and well-behaved pets (by arrangement), as long as they are never left unattended in the caravan or on your local walks. There is no extra charge - they love it here, many owners tell us that their pets are very excited by return visits. The gravelled area beside the caravan provides easy access and parking and is partially screened. The caravan is situated between the farmhouse and our bungalow, where we can be contacted if problems arise. The farm stock and most buildings are beyond the farmhouse - an effective barrier to most of the farm sounds such as cows, calves and tractors. |

The dairy farm is run by Peter and David and visitors are very welcome
to go and watch the milking, or perhaps to just play frisbee with the
dogs! |
