The granary has been carefully converted with traditional materials

In the Seventeenth Century, the Granary was an integral part of Higher Farm life, used for storing and threshing grain for stock and people. The Granary has been carefully converted with traditional building materials (Hurdwick green stone, local 'hardstone' and granite quoins). It is slate hung and has its original window slits as well as natural wood windows and doors.

This attractive and comfortable home has its own enclosed small private garden with picnic table, lawn, shrubs and climbing plants, and opens out onto fields and our lovely wooded valley with views of rolling countryside and moors beyond. Access is by a separate short drive, initially shared by Highland Barn, but continuing privately on down towards amply parking spaces beside the Granary
