Welcome to Northway

Our farmhouse and pretty stone cottages set around a courtyard offer unusually spacious self-catering holiday accommodation with superb facilities. It is situated within half a mile of the dramatic coastal footpath above Peppercombe's National Trust shingle beach and within five miles of the glorious sandy beach at Westward Ho! Northway is surrounded by miles of fabulous walks and is the perfect place to unwind from the rigours of every day life, with spectacular sea views, coastal path walks, open countryside and farm animals.

There is a children's play area and an indoor heated pool with spa, gym and games room. Our position set in five acres overlooking Bideford Bay is ideally situated for visiting the beaches of North Devon and North Cornwall. Walk from our cottages to Peppercombe beach, cycle the Tarka Trail, or visit the picture postcard village of Clovelly. All are within easy reach of Northway Holiday Cottages. All of the cottages are well furnished, well equipped and most have their own garden. We have cottages suitable for sleeping two to thirteen people plus cots, some with beams and vaulted ceilings, four-poster beds, log burners or open fires, some pet friendly, others pet free. We are open all year, with short breaks available out of season

We have eight surprisingly spacious cottages sleeping from 2 to 13 people and The Buttery, a more compact cottage for two. They are mostly arranged around a long courtyard, which has the feel of a small hamlet.

Some have sea views, some with views of the surrounding fields and gardens. All of our cottages are converted from the original farm buildings and retain features and character such as beams, vaulted ceilings and stone walls. They are attractively furnished whilst also being clean, comfortable and well equipped. All are suitable for out of season stays, some centrally heated, some with log burners or open fires and some with a mixture of night storage and panel heaters. Most cottages have their own gardens and some accept pets.

All have access to wooden garden furniture and a barbecue, either in their own garden/patio or in the large communal gardens. Cots (no linen provided), highchairs and stairgates are available in all cottages except The Buttery.

We have some excellent amenities here at Northway. The pool, 30 foot by 15 foot is a great hit with everyone. It is warm and light with wonderful views over Bideford Bay. There are spacious changing facilities, toilets and showers and seats for non swimmers. Please note the pool is not supervised and all children must be accompanied by a swimming adult. We also have, alongside the pool a hot tub which seats up to four people. A wonderful way to relax after those country/coastal walks. The pool and spa are open daily from 9.00 until 7.30, except one morning a week from 11.00 to allow time for additional cleaning. There is a fitness room containing a running machine, exercise bike and rowing machine. This is open 24 hours, every day to anyone over sixteen years. The Games Room is a large purpose built room housing all you need to entertain yourselves and the children on holiday. Table tennis, table football and a pool table, provide plenty of opportunity for some family tournaments. There is a small play area reserved for toddlers.

We also have an extensive range of popular board games, DVDs, videos and books you can borrow. Not forgetting the amenities nature provides, and our friendly animals and pets who will look forward to seeing you at feeding time each morning. Northway has well tended extensive grounds which you can enjoy where there is room to just sit and relax or have a kick about or game of boules. And then on our very doorstep we have beautiful walks, short or long, where you can enjoy the spectacular views and wildlife. Being designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty there is every chance you will see flowers or birds you have not seen before or certainly not for a long time.
