
Dartmoor View Holiday Park
Dartmoor View Holiday Park is a small, family run park situated 6 miles
east of the walking centre and town of Okehampton. The park is very
well presented and has a five tick grading.
Facilities within the park include a shop and off-licence, take-away,
children's play area with fort, heated outdoor swimming pool with paddling
pool for those long hot summer days, a small putting green, games room
and a cosy bar. At Dartmoor View Holiday Park we aim to ensure that
all of our guests have an enjoyable and relaxing stay with us, whether
you hire one of our quality holiday homes or bring your own touring
caravan, tent or motorhome.
Static Caravans
All our caravans are well equipped for the family's requirements
and have two or three bedrooms with extra sleeping facilities in the
lounge area. All have a full bathroom hot an cold water, shower, sink
and flush toilet. Fully fitted Kitchen with cooker, fridge, microwave,
kettle and toaster. Gas fire and colour television in the lounge. Extra
heating available for early and late season bookings.
Touring Caravans
Our well drained level site is ideal for touring and camping. Many pitches
have electric hook ups but if you decide to spoil yourself why not have
one of our All Service pitches which include water, waste electric and
hardstandings. There is a dedicated camping area in the centre of the
park for tents with water and waste points conveniently placed nearby.
Toilet & Shower Facilities
Our heated toilet and shower block is well maintained. It offers free
hot showers, hot water, shaver points, hair dryer etc.
Also situated in the same building are the washing up facilities and
laundry area with washing machine, tumble dryer, spin dryer and ironing
facilities. There is also an outside drying area.
Coastal Resorts and places to visit
Within an
hours drive of Dartmoor View Holiday Park are the coastal resorts of
Exmouth, Bude, Torquay and Paignton with their beaches, shops and entertainment.
Families are well catered for with attractions such as Crealy, Woodlands
Park and the famous Paignton Zoo. The historic naval city of Plymouth
and the cathedral city of Exeter offer many interesting attractions.
Even the delightful Cornish fishing villages of Tintagel and Padstow
are less than an hour away.
Local Attractions
Dartmoor
View Holiday Park is located on the northern edge of the beautiful Dartmoor
National Park with it's granite tors, waterfalls, rivers and Bronze
age settlements. Activities within the National Park include fishing,
walking, pony trekking, canoeing and cycling. For those who are not
so energetic there are many picturesque little villages on the moor
where one can enjoy a cream tea or visit a cosy pub. Other local attractions
includ Becky Falls, Lydford George, Fingle Bridge and many National
Trust properties.

to find us
Dartmoor View is easily accessible - from the M5 junction
31 take the A30 towards Okehampton, turn left at the first roundabout
to Whiddon Down, procedd through the village and the park is on the
right. Without having to rejoin the busy main roads, it is possible
to explore the wonders of Dartmoor and visit the local beauty spots.
