The Terraces are one of Tapeley Parks oldest and best known features. Hand dug, the south facing walls and sheltered borders created by the terracing are full of semi-tropical and tender flowers rarely seen in the UK.

 When the sun so long has been shining down that the  happy smile turns to sweaty frown then you know its  time for tea and cakes or a light lunch on the dairy lawn.



















 


A chance for kids to meet their relatives - of the furry and feathered kind! A small area where animals used to kids can meet with kids, and what variety! Bags of appropriate feed will be available for kids to give out. Elsewhere around Tapeley larger beasts roam, such as the large and agile Highland Cattle, peacocks with their amazing irridescent plumage and the incredible begging Kunne Kunne pigs.

The walk down through the woods to the Lake (mainly huge Oak and Beech) is filled with sound and colour from the huge variety of birds and the Hydrangia, Rhododendron, Camelia and Primula which line the path. At the lake itself, from the variety of secluded spots to just sit and be in, the massive Thuja Plicata (the oldest in the country) and many massive firs can be viewed. The lake is truely a place for regeneration.
